CA Articleship at a CA Firm in Ahmedabad — Pujara & Co
2-year articleship under ICAI's updated scheme. Stipend of ₹10,000 in year 1 and ₹12,000 in year 2. Rotational training across income tax, GST, audit, company law and NRI advisory — no department lock-in. Direct mentorship from CA Mitul Pujara, FCA. Currently 6 articles in training.
What is CA articleship — and is this page for you?
Articleship is the practical training every CA student must complete before sitting the CA Final: real client work under a practising Chartered Accountant, not classroom study. Under ICAI's New Scheme of Education and Training, that training runs for two years, with 9–12 months of industrial training permitted in the final phase.
This page is for CA students who have cleared CA Intermediate (or entered through Direct Entry) and are choosing where to serve those two years — and for CA Final students looking at industrial training. If you are weighing a mid-size firm against a Big Four or a large national firm, the comparison below is the honest version of that trade-off.
In short: two years, ₹10,000 rising to ₹12,000 a month, rotation through every department rather than one desk, and direct mentorship from CA Mitul Pujara, FCA. Six articles are in training with us right now.

Making the Choice
A mid-size firm or a large firm?
Both are valid routes to qualifying. They train you differently, and the honest comparison is this:
| What you are comparing | A firm like ours | A large / Big Four firm |
|---|---|---|
| Range of work | Rotation across income tax, GST, audit, ROC and NRI advisory | Usually deep specialisation in one vertical |
| Client contact | You meet and speak with clients from year one | Client contact typically sits with seniors |
| Ownership | You own whole assignments end to end | You own a defined part of a large engagement |
| Mentorship | Direct and daily with the partner | Structured, but through several layers |
| Brand on your CV | Recognised regionally, strong for practice | Recognised nationally, strong for corporate roles |
| Best suited to | Students aiming for their own practice or an all-round finance role | Students targeting large-corporate or specialist career tracks |
If you want to specialise early inside a large system, a bigger firm is the better fit — genuinely. If you want to finish your two years having filed returns, handled GST registrations, sat in an audit and seen NRI and cross-border files yourself, this is the better training ground.
Common Questions
Articleship questions students ask us
Who can apply for articleship at Pujara & Co?
CA students who have cleared CA Intermediate (or entered through Direct Entry) and are registered, or eligible to register, as articled assistants with ICAI. CA Final students seeking industrial training are welcome to apply too.
What is the stipend for articleship at Pujara & Co?
₹10,000 per month in the first year and ₹12,000 per month in the second. It is paid on time every month and reviewed periodically on performance — above the ICAI minimum for our city category.
How long is the articleship?
Two years, in line with ICAI's New Scheme of Education and Training. Industrial training of 9 to 12 months is permitted in the final phase and we evaluate those requests case by case.
Is the training rotational or department-specific?
Fully rotational. You move across income tax, GST, statutory and tax audit, company law and ROC, NRI and foreign income, accounting and advisory. We do not lock articles to a single desk — the breadth is the whole point of training here.
Will I get leave for exam preparation?
Yes. ICAI permits 12 leaves in each year of practical training, and we honour study leave ahead of exams. Passing is the objective of articleship, not an inconvenience to it.
What will I actually be doing day to day?
Real client work from early on — preparing and filing returns, reconciling GST data, working on audit assignments, drafting ROC filings and sitting in on client conversations. You will not spend two years photocopying or on a single repetitive task.
Do you provide a completion certificate and references?
Yes. You receive your ICAI Form 108 completion documentation, and CA Mitul Pujara provides references for articles who trained well with us — several of our former articles are now in practice or in senior industry roles.
